With a maximum of only 8 guests at any one time you can really enjoy a peaceful and relaxed enviroment and being a small complex we are on hand for all your needs. The compound is walled and gated with 24 hours security giving you privacy and comfort and the chance to relax and enjoy your holiday in Gambia. |
| Our staff are all local Gambians, we have a gardener, several maids and a watchman. You will normally find our watchman Mansue sitting under a tree at our entrance gate making Attaya, this is a ritual and favorite past time of Gambians, it is Chinese green tea and lots of sugar, brewed in a small pot over a charcoal fire and served in very small glasses. Its a sociable past time where the tea is poured from pot to glass then back many times. If you can find the time Mansue will be more than happy to show you how its made and even let you taste it. |
We offer quality accomodation on a bed and breakfast basis in one of our two luxury lodges or two large rooms within the main guest house. If you are visiting Gambia for a long period of time we are happy to offer a room only option. We are open and available all through the year! Snacks, drinks and afternoon tea are also available at an extra charge. You can even spend an evening at the lodges, have dinner and enjoy the local drummers and kora player, learn how to play the djembe drum. If you want to try a traditional Gambian meal your maid will be more than happy to shop in the local markets for you and prepare a dish of your choice in our kitchen. She would also be happy to teach you how to make the dish. |
